Dr Peter has been a vet for more than 10 years.  He has worked in small animal practice in both Sydney and regional NSW for the entire time, and enjoys the variety that this offers.  He is interested in all aspects of medicine and surgery of both traditional (i.e. dogs and cats) and more ‘exotic’ pets (e.g. birds, rabbits & guinea pigs, rats & mice, reptiles).  Dr Peter has a long record of helping our native fauna too, having successfully been involved in the treatment and subsequent release of a variety of wildlife species.

Peter acquired Centennial Park Veterinary Hospital in October 2024 from its founder, Dr Ivor Sandler.  Like Dr Ivor, he is passionate about independent veterinary practice, and feels that this model offers unique advantages in terms of patient care.  With time, he hopes to increase the amount of services offered.

Dr Peter lives locally with his wife (a human dentist) and their two young sons, who you may occasionally see around the practice. Peter has a friendly manner and likes to get to know the humans that come along with the animals. He looks forward to meeting both you and your pet!
